Key Presenter at Focus the Nation National Teach-In Event

January 31, 2008

ALBANY, New York. (Jan. 31, 2008) Chief Engineer at AWS Truewind, Daniel W. Bernadett, presented Wind: Thriving at the center of the energy storm, to a gathering of students, educators, and the general public as part of the Focus the Nation National Teach-In event at the College of Saint Rose. Mr. Bernadett discussed the nation-wide growth of utility-scale wind farm development and how AWS Truewind has played an active role in furthering the acceptance of renewable energy throughout the US and abroad by providing unbiased expert advice to developers, investors, and governmental and institutional clients. Mr. Bernadett discussed the environmental and cost benefits of wind power and provided an opportunity for an open forum question and answer segment for students, educators, and interested parties.

“It was obvious that many members of the audience had thought deeply about renewable energy issues.  I only wish that we could get the word out to more folks that care about energy and the environments” said Bernadett.

Focus the Nation is a national educational initiative that promotes civic engagement and invites local, state and federal political leaders and decision-makers to come to college campuses and participate in non-partisan, round-table discussions on global warming. The National Teach-In event was implemented to engage thousands of students on campuses nationwide to participate in workshops and panels in an effort to increase awareness of global warming and ultimately brainstorm potential solutions to this critical issue.
