AWS Truewind Shares its Expertise with Community Wind

April 14, 2008

AWS Truewind, LLC, joined over 400 attendees at Windustry’s annual Community Wind Energy Conference in the Capital Region of New York for two days of presentations and roundtable sessions. The programming focused on community wind projects throughout the nation and touched on such topics as the economic benefits of community wind projects, to how to develop and finance a project. AWS Truewind shared its expertise in wind resource assessment with a packed room of eager project developers and other interested parties.

“This conference was a great example of how diverse the wind industry is. Community-based projects are beginning to make a significant impact on the renewable energy industry and are garnering a lot of attention from local groups throughout NYS and beyond” says Amber Trendell, Marketing and Communications Manager at AWS Truewind.

The event, which was organized by Minnesota-based Windusty, was the third national event of its kind. The non-profit organization has specialized expertise in landowner rights, risks and the economic development benefits of community wind projects.
